Grafton Soccer Club Programs Overview
The Grafton Soccer Club offers both In-town and Travel Soccer Programs based on players' age for both boys and girls. The In-town Program consists of Grafton teams playing against each other and is offered for U6 & U8 age groups (grades K through 2). The Travel program consists of Grafton teams playing against other Central MA towns and is offered for U10 through the U-14 age-groups (grades 3 through 8). Both programs are offered in the Fall and Spring annually. In addition, based on registration, Travel U16 & U18 (high school) may be offered. The soccer year runs from Fall to Spring, therefore, the age group in which a player participates in the Fall will be the same age group in which the player will participate in the Spring.
Grafton Soccer Club Programs Age Group Overviews and Development Curriculums
The Grafton Soccer Club has developed a curriculum and overview for age groups U6, U8 and U10. The intent of the curriculum is to provide a developmental path for our soccer program that will ensure consistency age-group to age-group, year to year, and team to team.
Included in the curriculum is an overview section for each age-group that describes what the GSC "does" in that age-group. The curriculum also defines the techniques and tactics that are "age-appropriate" for each age-group and includes perspectives on what parents/coaches should expect from a given age-group as well as guidelines for managing practices and (coaching) during games. Uniforms
Both Travel and InTown Programs require a club uniform. Returning players that already have a uniform do not need to purchase a new uniform. Any player new to the Grafton Soccer Club will need to purchase/obtain a GSC uniform. Uniforms can be ordered on-line during registration and picked up at uniform nights held in the Spring and Summer.
